Sothys, one of the original beauty institute and spa brands, was created in 1946 during the new wave of French beauty. Under the leadership of Dr Hotz, a spa treatment visionary and a keen Egyptologist, the first formulas were developed in 1946.

Sothys has been continually evolving, and has taken on a leading role in beauty institutes, spas and clinics through 15,000 points of sale in 120 countries.

Treatment Excellence

In 1966, Sothys was purchased by the Mas family, today Christian and Frederic Mas (3^rd generation) run the company. A historic family business focused on excellence with two places that play a historic part in the brand – Correze, where the Mas family originated – and now home to the administrative headquarters, laboratories and production site and Paris for its international training centre. The beauty institute at 128 Faubourg Saint-Honoré showcases the brand and focuses on treatment excellence.

Les Jardins Sothys®, an exquisite Botanic Garden (covering four hectares) in Auriac, opened in 2007. Les Jardins Sothys® in Auriac (Corréze) are a source of inspiration and bear witness to the brand’s involvement in sustainable development.

A team of 25 expert biochemists, pharmacists and beauty therapists at the Soredec Laboratory, the Sothys Group advanced research centre, are responsible for the roll-out of Sothys products. With an ability to innovate and incorporate the latest scientific advances, every year Sothys launches an average of 35 new product formulas and 15 new makeup products. Each Sothys formula combines inspiration from nature and scientific rigour and is based on 4 founding principles: safety, sensoriality, efficiency and naturalness.

Sothys is made in France with eco responsible production, controlling its entire product design process.

The brand’s flagship method, Digi-Esthetique® is a massage technique specially developed, to optimize treatments and the absorption of active ingredients. Efficiency is based on the combination of highly sophisticated treatments together with your Sothys homecare, following an accurate skin diagnosis by a Sothys therapist.
